Baffles are incredibly effective - when placed Correctly

Pole- Mounted Baffles (My top Recommendation)

Tube (Cylinder) Baffles

• about 2 feet long
• 8 Inches in Diameter
• Deter Squirrels, Racoons, Rats, Possums, and cat

Placement Rules:

• top of baffle must sit 4–5 feet off the ground
• pole must be 10 feet away from anything squirrels can jump from

Too low → squirrels jump over
Too high → squirrels climb and leap

If a baffle worked for years and suddenly doesn’t?
A bush or limb likely grew closer. Move the pole or trim the branch.

Cone Baffles

• deter squirrels and rats
• Raccoons often pull them down or work around them

Cages fit around feeders to:

• keep squirrels out
• Exclude larger birds if needed
• give smaller birds a peaceful place to feed

They’re especially useful with tube feeders and for yards where birds get crowded out.
