Check out these things happening this month!

June is here which means heat is in the air. Make sure to have lots of water sources for your birds! - Happy Birdwatching!

  • June is Perennial Garden Month & National Rivers Month! Having native plants in your yard is a great way to help attract them!

  • Bird migration is finished. Birds that are here now are summer residents that nest.

  • As the month progresses, feeders can become busy with visiting parents and fledglings. It's amazing to watch as the dad brings the young to the feeders!

  • House Wrens are nesting in the northern part of the region.

  • Keep your feeders and bird baths clean and your seed fresh. With the heat and humidity here, the feeders get clogged easy. A fast and easy helper is out Feeder fresh to help absorb the water to keep the food dry.

  • Wood Duck and Mallard ducklings hatch and venture forth early in the month.

  • Canada Geese begin molting.

  • Fawns continue to be born through mid-month.

  • Bats give birth.

  • Young woodchucks and raccoons emerge and venture out with their mothers.

  • Bullfrogs begin calling.

  • Crickets begin nightly serenade.
